National Geographic commissioned Hoggard Films to follow a unit of war-hardened Green Berets in Afghanistan. But in the dead of night on a remote ridge, a Taliban attack cuts the mission and film production brutally short.
This attack not only claimed the lives of two brave soldiers, but would also gain notoriety as the worst special forces mass casualty in Afghanistan to-date. We captured the night in all its brutality, and offered a tribute to the two young men who died that night.
